Tapestry needle, sewing needle, pins, scissors.
Coated wire for the arms.

I have never enjoyed crotcheting something more than I enjoyed bringing Hazel to life. The instructions were so easy to follow that anyone can do it. \n\nI did experience a problem with keeping the head upright once I attached the hair because the hair was so heavy. I had to unattach the head and use a thicker dowel, which worked perfectly. Additionally, I had had to make the dowel longer. Even though I used the measurement provided in the instructions, the fact that I was using a larger needle because the size called for in the instructions wasn't easy to find in the US, meant that the doll was slightly larger. The dowel should go from the pelvis to the top of the head.\n\nI was unable to find the button size called for by the pattern. I looked in a couple different craft stores and on Amazon and was unable to find them, so I had to use a different size, which meant I can button the sweater, boots, and headband, but they can't be messed with or they'll easily come unbuttoned.\n\nThe only other thing I've noticed with photos of other dolls is that they don't look happy. It only took one additional stitch to put a smile on my Hazel's face, making her more warm and friendly. \n\nMy granddaughter will get her Hazel on her birthday in a couple of weeks and I'm excited to give it to her because I know she is going to love it! \n\nHappy Crocheting!
