How does the discount work?
Your discount matches your number of skeins, up to 20: 10 skeins take 10% off, 16 skeins take 16% off, 20 or more take 20% off. It steps up every 2 skeins, counts any mix of colors and yarn sets, and is applied automatically at checkout.
What is in a yarn set?
Every skein you need to crochet one doll from our pattern, in the exact colors the pattern uses, skin and hair included. The pattern is sold separately, so if you do not have it yet, find it in our doll patterns.
Do yarn sets count toward the discount?
Yes. Each set counts as its number of skeins, so a 12-skein set on its own already takes 12% off, and anything you add on top pushes the discount higher, up to 20%.
How many skeins do I need?
A doll from one of our patterns usually takes 10 to 13 skeins; small animals and amigurumi take fewer. Each skein is 50 g, about 136 yards.
What is the Easy Start tab?
A small tab attached to the yarn end inside the skein. Pull it and the yarn feeds from the center, so you never hunt for the end and the skein does not roll around while you crochet.
What weight and hook size?
4-ply fingering weight, 50 g and 125 m (136 yards) per skein. The label recommends a 2.0 to 3.5 mm hook. For amigurumi and dolls we work at the small end, so the stitches stay tight and the stuffing does not show.
What does mercerized mean?
The cotton is treated under tension, which makes the fibers smoother and stronger and gives them a soft shine. It is still 100% cotton.
What does OEKO-TEX Standard 100 mean?
An independent certification that the yarn has been tested for harmful substances. Ours is certified in product class I, the class for baby articles (certificate SH005 136238, TESTEX). You can check the number at oeko-tex.com.
