MATERIALS NEEDED
Yarn: 100% mercerized cotton, fingering weight.
Crochetree colors:
- 100 g: Misty Rose, and Orchid Bouquet.
- 50 g: Nimbus Cloud, Eggplant, Elfin Yellow, Bud Green, Pink Tulle, and Bright White.
- 10 g: Bellflower.

Other materials:
- Sizes 2.0 and 2.5 mm crochet hooks.
- 3 medium size green buttons and small purple beads.
- Embroidery floss: colors white, black, light grey, 2 different shades of purple , light pink.
- Silver thread (to sew the beads)
- Tapestry needle, sewing needle, pins and scissors.
- Coated wire and wooden stick.
* The size of the finished doll is approx. 38 cm.

Took me a month to make Freya and her Easter and Halloween outfits. I loved the challenge! She is not perfect but was a great learning experience. I have been doing crochet for many years am 81 years old. I had stopped crocheting for over 7 years when my daughter Mary posted on Facebook a doll she had made. Took me about 3 weeks to do this pattern. The yarn flows smoothly out of the center of the yarn and is so nice to touch. The yarn was delivered so quickly after ordering. I had to undo my stitches many times to get the number of stitches correctly counted. Watching Freya emerge from my work was fulfilling and the completed project a joy to behold. My husband complemented my doll creation! I’m ready to start my next pattern but must wait until we return to our summer home and I can order my next batch of yarn to produce my doll.

I have loved doing the Freya doll along with the Halloween outfit. Now I am working on the Easter outfit. I give this pattern a 5 star it is well written and so easy to follow. I got this pattern to learn how to do doll eyes and my daughter said this is the best doll I have ever made.
This was the 2nd doll I made. This time I used the cotton yarn for the correct size. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to use the smaller hook due to arthritis but it turned out not to be a problem. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Can’t wait to make my next!

Hi, the dolls are wonderful, I am making my first doll right now. I live in Italy and I had to understand the correspondence of the names of the different crochet stitches, but the instructions are clear. To improve further, it would be useful if you made some videos in which you show the more complicated steps, for example, how to thread the wooden lath and wire into the doll, or with which hidden stitches you sew the doll's head to the neck.
