Step-by-step CROCHET DOLL PATTERN (in English) with full instructions for easily crocheting Hazel and her red/gray outfit. Includes the facial features embroidery pattern.
MATERIALS NEEDED
Yarn: 100% mercerized cotton, fingering weight.
Crochetree colours:
- 100 g: Misty Rose, Cappuccino, Vivid Mustard, and Charcoal.
- 50 g: Carmine Red, and Stonewash.
- 10 g: Verdant.

- 2.5 and 2.0 mm crochet hooks.
- Seven 8 mm grey buttons and one 10 mm orange/red button.
- Embroidery floss: colors white, black, dark brown, 3 different shades of green, pink, or red for the mouth.
- Marker or a piece of yarn of a different color.
- Fiberfill for stuffing.
- Tapestry needle, sewing needle, pins, scissors.
- Coated wire for the arms.
- Craft stick for the neck, about 15 cm long.
* The size of the finished doll is approx. 38 cm.
* Skill level: beginner to intermediate.
* Items that are removable: skirt, scarf, headband, jacket, purse and boots.

I have never enjoyed crotcheting something more than I enjoyed bringing Hazel to life. The instructions were so easy to follow that anyone can do it.
I did experience a problem with keeping the head upright once I attached the hair because the hair was so heavy. I had to unattach the head and use a thicker dowel, which worked perfectly. Additionally, I had had to make the dowel longer. Even though I used the measurement provided in the instructions, the fact that I was using a larger needle because the size called for in the instructions wasn't easy to find in the US, meant that the doll was slightly larger. The dowel should go from the pelvis to the top of the head.
I was unable to find the button size called for by the pattern. I looked in a couple different craft stores and on Amazon and was unable to find them, so I had to use a different size, which meant I can button the sweater, boots, and headband, but they can't be messed with or they'll easily come unbuttoned.
The only other thing I've noticed with photos of other dolls is that they don't look happy. It only took one additional stitch to put a smile on my Hazel's face, making her more warm and friendly.
My granddaughter will get her Hazel on her birthday in a couple of weeks and I'm excited to give it to her because I know she is going to love it!

I bought this pattern some time ago. Feedbacks wasn’t created yet. I had fun making this doll, it was like a puzzle but crocheting everything in its place. The outcome was beautiful and it was only because the pattern was wonderfully laid out. A family member caught eye on the finished doll and wanted to pay for it. This was the cherry on top moment for me and the designer who continues to make wonderful doll patterns. I would recommend this pattern.
